Decolonization with Sakej Ward

Decolonization is a word that gets thrown around a lot ,locally and nationally, but what does it mean?
How can we work towards having a decolonized mindset so we are effective and respectful in the work that we do?

Sakej Ward is from the Mi’kmaq Nation from the community of Esgenoopetitj (Burnt Church First Nation, New Brunswick). He has a long and impressive resume including a B.A. in political science, a Masters in Indigenous Governance, and is an army veteran. He has worked with Warrior Societies across Turtle Island and his work focuses on Indigenous sovereinty and decolonizing the colonized and conlinizer.

Join us on June 10 @ 10am for what will undoubtedly be an intense and powerful discussion on decolonization.

If you think you identify with the word but feel confused about what it means or what direction to take, then this is the place to come and learn.
